I am considering purchasing a yacht of this class which is for sale near to where I live. She is in need of complete restoration;keelbolts,stern Knee/sternpost refastening, slightly sagging counter, broken frames, rusty steel floors, refastening
of planking, new deck and coachroof, complete interior replacement etc etc the list just goes on. However, she is a very pretty boat and is on the whole free of rot apart from the top of the stem and the sheerstrakes. I have found some info on the web about a sister boat (Flamingo of Menai) on a brokerage website www.coburgbrokers.com.
My question to you is do you know anything about this class , is there a class association , do the plans still exist? any help would be greatly appreciated.
