Isn't it about time we agreed the next date?

As a suggestion, how about Wed 7th Sept?

Perhaps as a venue suggestion, we should head towards the A1 side of the region again, and see if we can encourage a few of the Cambridge folks along?

Nicho has been on his (old) boat for a few days and will be on his new one as of tomorrow. This afternoon, he was like a kid on Christmas Eve !!

So it may be a few days before you hear from him.

I think he said it is a Walrus, no wait that's wrong, maybe a Sea Lion? Yep, that's it a Sea Lion. I'm not telling what size though, wouldn't want steal his thunder.

He didn't mention Cherboug, but i reckon he could make it in under 4 hours, cleat to cleat, if he wanted.

OK... still waiting on other regular attendee Nicho, but lets agree a location in his absence....

Any suggestions?... somewhere in the east of the region this time for our Cambridge forumites?.... perhaps somewhere around the Stamford area? (there are many nice pubs that do bar meals in that part of the world)

Precisely my thoughts Steve,

How about the pub in the village of Empingham?..... The White Horse......its the only pub in a small village, and its on the main road between Oakham and Stamford..... so dead easy access from the A1 (just 10mins off the A1), and easy from the West of the region through Oakham.....

Sounds good to me and comes so well recommended. Used to know the pubs around there when we sailed Rutland and may get to know them again, as we are thinking of keeping a dinghy at RSC for a bit of club racing.

You should try Grafham instead... much better racing scene than Rutland at the moment, and much cheaper to join!
