East Coast wind farm

To day we went to Clacton, and whilst sitting on a bench in West Clacton we could see another wind farm beyond the Gunfleet wind farm - Where would that be? It seemed to be something over twice as far away as the Gunfleet sands wind farm

I wondered that, but it seemed in the wrong direction. I was looking from West Clacton through the Gunfleet windfarm, and it was directly behind the Gunfleet from West Clacton

Inner/Outer Gabbard?

Yes you are right, it is the London Array. I did not realise that the London Array was so far out, I thought it was more up the Thames

It took me and Moodysabre a bit of thunking to figure it out when sailing down from Shotley earlier in the year

And it's only the first phase of the London Array at that

Another few years and from Kent to Norfolk it'll be wall to wall wind farm out to sea

Are you getting it mixed up with Kentish Flats maybe? That's tucked up the estuary round the corner.

we passed through over two weeks ago, Foulgers not accessible,wall to wall pylons the whole Thames Estuary a sad sight indeed

No, I can see them from Mersea on a clear day. This lot lined up from West Clacton with Gunfleet, and looking at the chart I am sure it is the London Array
