I notice HHA has a new camera showing from navigation house to the Dovercourt Breakwater. Live Stream Cameras - Harwich Haven Authority

BTW , is Shotley a very windy place ?

The HHA wind gauges often show that Shotley often has more windspeed than some of the other three. Even taking fetch into account.

Coming down the Orwell from SYH... yes, the wind quite often stiffens up around Shotley, I've always put it down to the topography created by the confluence of the Stour and Orwell

Where does the HHA's Shotley windspeed data come from? According to the HHA website, they only have a tide height sensor at Shotley - Live Data | Weather, Tide, Sailing information - Harwich, Felixstowe, Ipswich | Harwich Haven Authority

Ramsgate was shown in the Windy webcam link I supplied earlier. There are also webcams at Whistable, Southend, Ipswich, and Lowestoft to mention a few, but plenty more elsewhere around our British coasts.

Wasn't there a proposal to put a webcam on, or near, the Packing shed at West Mersea? What happened to that idea?
I know there is webcam on the Strood, but that is so far away as to be be useless
