I know there are dozens of recommendations on here, but they are all getting a bit old (the recommendations, not the surveyors!).

Any up-to-date recommendations for a surveyor?

I've been trying to get hold of Martin Evans, but no joy yet. Perhaps he's on hols or something.

I used Colin Mallard 6 years ago, but other than him and Martin Evans, I know noone.

thanks

Dom Buckley from this Parrish get a lot of votes

maybe, but I just spoke to Ian Anderson (what a jolly chap) and he said Martin is around. I was keen to get hold of Martin because he did the last survey and (so I heard) he saw the boat before the fit out and therefore has seen the insides. I liked Ian though!

Thumbs up for Ian Anderson and Martin Evans.

I contacted Ian and he was super-lovely and very helpful. I told him that my preference was to speak to Martin as he'd done a recent survey on the vessel in question and he was very understanding. To the extent that he also tried to contact Martin and this morning I received an email reply from Martin too. Martin is indeed working abroad at the moment. But so, far very impressed with both their efforts.

Also received a super-quick and helpful reply from Dominic Buckley.

A Passage plan coming together then

Glad to hear everything's on track now.

Can not recommend Martin Evans highly enough - the man saved us potentially many thousands of pounds.
He's friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful to a fault.
