Announcing the East Coast 'Pirate weekend'
On 14th and 15th July in the Walton Backwaters at Stone Point
A forum weekend of family oriented fun and frivoloties for East Coasters... (and raiding parties from farther afield on summer cruises!)
Arrive Saturday morning, HW is Midday
Saturday afternoon, a treasure hunt will be in progress for the kids with a treasure map for them to follow, X will mark the spot!
Prizes will be awarded for the best pirate costume!
Saturday evening, a BBQ and bonfire on the beach, and maybe a few beach games to keep the kids entertained, and perhaps a little pirate grog for the adults!!
Sunday morning, a leisurely start, and mid morning, we'll be off in tenders for a trip around the island, following the Arthur Ransome trail, although water pistols will be allowable tender equipment!
Sunday lunchtime, will be time no doubt for everyone to start leaving, hopefully tired and happy!
Remember, a Jolly Roger will be compulsory... and dressed boats will no doubt be in evidence!!!
All ages welcome
Let me know, via the East Coast forum, and this thread if you are interested, so that I can get an idea of numbers, along with kids ages where appropriate (so that we can determine how hard or easy to make the treasure trail, or whether to run two different difficulties), and so that I can decide whether we need to let W&FYC know we are coming.
Cheers
Neil
