My non-sailing other half is somewhat upset that a copy she ordered via Amazon on 4th December hasn't arrived yet.
Looking at the distributor's recent feedback, it appears that a lot of other sailors (sailers?) might be disappointed on Xmas morning.
Anyone with information, as Diane declined to talk to Amazon's unintelligible young lady in the Philippines.

If Amazon were using Yodel, there were a lot of delivery failures when their network fell over. Fortunately for me having previously had to use Yodel, when I reviewed and changed carrier over the summer, Yodel didn't even make the long list.

A DVD I ordered via Amazon hasn't arrived either. I didn't talk to Amazon but emailed the seller and am getting a refund - it doesn't leave me with anything to wrap up for the 25th.

Sorry to hear about this - it really sounds as though either Amazon or their postal contractor (whichever one it is in this case) has lost it. It won't help you if I say I've bought a lot of stuff recently on Amazon and it's all turned up as expected, no problem.
Very late now to do much about it. Is Imrays in St.Ives (Cambs) too far away from you to go there and get one? I would guess Tuesday will be their last day at work (but I don't know, you'd need to ring first).

We too have bought a lot from Amazon recently but, researching feedbacks and comments, I'm confident that it's a delivery problem rather a distributor fault
Our Yodel delivery drivers are usually on time and pleasant, so I can imagine a huge pile of undelivered packages in a central warehouse somewhere.
Looking on the bright side, I may get and alternate surprise pressie, perhaps involving chocolate.
