East Coast moorings, marinas and anchorages... a database?

There's an Oostende entry, but can't seem to open it, change it, or add anything to it :(:o

I think you'll find it works like this, there is an entry for Ostende, as a "harbour", but no marinas have been added. You need to add one. Direct link is : http://www.threepointfix.co.uk/locations/add_a_mooring.php?port=17

EDIT, i wonder.... where a harbour has been added, such as Ostende and i noticed Wells Next The Sea, and no marinas/anchorages etc have been added.... would it help to have a message saying "No marinas/anchorages have been added to this port yet, >click here< to add one" ?

Within a country is a region... within a region is a port or estuary, within that port or estuary is a mooring (or marina, harbour or anchorage)... once you've created the mooring, then you will see a link appear to it, and from there you can edit away to your hearts content!..

Let me know which harbour you have created if you are still struggling, and i'll post a direct link to it on here

sorry i messed up you now have two entry for wainfleet haven please delete the one with no info its in the east coast section

Neil

It is a bit frustrating having drilled down to a port and mooring to have to start again from the main Browse location page to look at another part of the same area.
Is it possible to have a back or up one level button?

how about an interactive map with all the entries on? I think the site is excellent i hope you continue to get lots of people filling in harbour details. keep up the good work

Minor niggle, profile boxes in "Chrome" not displaying properly.

But overall brilliant idea and once all gremlins ironed will be a valuable resource.

Will be adding some bits over weekend.

Looking good so far - but not sure about the area/port organisation. It seems some ports and rivers have been added but not all, so the way things have been added currently looks a bit inconsistent. The Orwell wasn't there so I've added it and put in Pin Mill - but Woolverstone and the RHYC are part of Ipswich and SYH is in Harwich. I'd move them but can't see how...

And before I even posted this things have been updated!

Looks really good- I can see it being used via mobile when cruising - hope it is mobile device friendly.
Yes, i've tested it on iPhone and Android. Some features are disables on mobile, such as the ability to add maps.... but you can explore all the data...

If continues to grow, I may in the future write a mobile app for both platforms, to speed it up, and to allow you to view mooring info, log passages, and also to track your routes and upload tracks as .gpx files... all these would be pretty funky!

Brightlingsea Harbour was on there, but not Morgan Marine where mine along with quite a few others are berthed. I added Morgan Marine and some information, but the heading is just Morgan and Marine disappeared and I can't edit it?
