I note that the Crouch Harbour Authority and the Royal Society for Prevention of Birds have laid a buoy in Yokesfleet Creek advising us that it's now called Potton Creek Anchorage.
Could this be a first step in controlling the area?

i'd be more concerned about signs saying 'this anchorage no longer available due to cute little birdies nesting nearby'.
My thoughts exactly.
A while ago there was a local press article about how yachtsmen were disturbing seals here, and should be kept away.
Lat year I was challenged by a Goretex warrior asking why I had anchored so close to the shore at Branklet. He then said it was OK, I could stay. Too late I realised I should have told him I didn't need his permission.
I'm not sure that boaters can win in this situation, the wildlife trumps all it seems.

It's quite well done but what's it for and it isn't in Potton Creek.
Perhaps the CHA are trying to spend some of the Crossrail bunce?
