East Coast chandleries rant.

Titchmarsh e mail about the new chandlery

"Good news on the chandlery front!

The marina's contractors have worked miracles and have opened up the store to its former size.

Decorations are nearly complete and the owners of 'Marine & Outdoor Chandlery' will be fitting out and stocking the store during early April and this will include a new art gallery too.

The chandlery' partners will be there this weekend setting up and whilst not yet officially open, will have paints, antifouling, maintenance materials and batteries available.

Their electronic systems will not be operational until next week, so payment by debit or credit cards will not possible. However, cash and cheque payments will be welcome.

Also, those former account holders with the previous chandlery will be welcome and new accounts will be possible.

If you're feeling hungry after your fitting out work, the chandlery will also have a modest range of snacks, cakes and rolls available."

I'm late to this one, but for my part I've always had great, friendly service from the guys at Marinestore. I'm considering moving the boat from Burnham this year and when weighing up to pros and cons, losing Marinestore as my local chandler is a negative. I totally agree with Laurin's comments.
