So if I do a quick tally that's 15 Yes votes of which 1 wants 3 and 1 wants 5 (say) plus Karouise whose No vote has been compulsorily purchased by the Yes campaign so that means a total of 22.

Hmm, not quite into the volume discount bracket yet.

And not much time to do the calendars either.

Shall I go with that then? That'll mean £14.99 each minus 30% = £10.49ea - we could round it up to £12 and give the difference to the charity of our choice.

If we get a few more and tip over the 25 mark that'll be £10.49 each minus 30% = £7.34 say so could make it £9 and the rest to chare-iddy

What do you think? I'll have to get me skates on to get the discount.

Can you start emailing me some hi res pics and I'll see if I can knock something together in the meantime? Nothing to lose while everyone decides what to do.

On the "East Coast Sunsets" thread there has been a proposal to make a calendar for 2010 usingf all the super pictures. This can be done for a modest cost (around a tenner I think but I will confirm) so I'd like to gauge interest in this.

Please let me know if you'd be likely to buy one so I can get confirmed prices.

I've voted yes, and at the risk of teaching you to suck eggs- do make sure you get payment up front or you will be tearing your hair out chasing the backsliders (which I'm sure being East Coast folk is a disgraceful slur and for which I apologise in advance!

It is indeed a disgraceful slur.
More than once, I have laid out over a hundred pounds deposits on East Coast Forum organised events, and NO ONE has ever let me down, and all have offered to pay if they have to drop out.

Famously, one came nearly a hundred miles to pay for a hotel room and meal which he was unable to attend.

I salute the honesty and integrity of the people we have here.

Although to be fair, Nick still owes me a bottle of Chateau Neuf Du Pape for a dinghy I made an effort to get him out of trouble with.

Tesco Calendars

I saw today a copy of a "Tesco" calendar which was used for a variety of children's photographs, some large per month and some made up of several small per month. It should be possible to use probably all pictorial donations in this manner to create what will surely become collectors items of great value in the future.

I'm going to start putting all the pics together tonight and try and finish it tomorrow evening to meet the deadline.

What I'd ask is that everyone who voted "yes" please PM me with a) how many calendars you want and b) how you'd prefer to pay (paypal, cheque, internet bank transfer). I can reply with the necessary details. Paypal is very easy.

We also need to agree how to deliver the calendars - if you want them posted then give me your address in the PM. Otherwise it might be an excuse for a night out in a suitable hostelry at some point

OK I've downloaded all the photos, squared them up, cleaned the blemishes, uploaded them to the website, built the calendar and logged the discount voucher code so it's all ready to go.

I've been strict and made it sunsets only and East Coast UK only 'cos I'm a git I've had to use the pics from the forum as posted (except Julian who sent me his hi res originals, ta) which means a lot can't be used for full page or the larger sized images in the calendar. I've shuffled things around and built montages as best I can but in the end I put a few of my own (hi res) pics in there to make it work - apologies for this, I've not been able to include all of the forum pics so I hope people aren't too disappointed.

Please please if you can send me your hi-res original images please do so as soon as possible - I will swap out my own pics where I can if and when I get higher quality images from you guys. Jomo, in particular, you have some great shots but they are quite coarse and I'm not sure they are going to come out well as they are.

Note I need to send this off tomorrow evening so if I don't get any new pics by then I'll just send it out as is.

I have 25 orders so I can get the lowest price but we may only just sneak this out before the "no" votes catch up with us I have to get them posted in one shot to my home address so we'll have to sort out individual postage or collection later.
