Hello I have a Volvo and Volspec at Woolverstone were asking £13 for a belt. I took the old belt to the above company,located in a shed in Gt Whip St,Ipswich. The friendly lady had a special gauge,which I have never seen before,for measuring old fan belts,and for seven quid she sold me a belt which is a better fit,and higher,reinforced,quality than the Volvo part. I am going back in the morning to get a lifetime supply. Absolutely no connection etc,just mentioning a proper old fashioned shop! cheers Jerry.Also they have lots of real mechanics's tools etc.

There is always a local bearing and belts supplier..
And sometimes you can get parts for other bits like water pumps..

I got a shaft for may Yanmar 3gmF raw water pump from Johnson dealers in Dunstabubble and the seals from J&M belts Latchingdon... whole lot cost less than £25.. the price of a new pump from Yanmar..... £650..
