Seems to be the heater. I doubt if a chandlery would stock heater elements but might sell me a whole new calorifier. It needs a commercial electrical store. I will have another go on Monday.

Try Aquafax - they have replacements for many.

I found two on their website, neither would fit. It's an old Isotemp calorifier, made in Sweden
