EA web river conditions page

It's updated when we receive info about a board change , no board changes , no update

It may be updated ten times a day if there are a lot of changes..

Why do you think we can't be bothered ?
 
I have enquired about the frequency of updates quite recently and, as Howard says, the info is updated when conditions change rather than at set times each day.
There have been some complaints that, particularly during the height of the strong streams earlier this year, they were updating too often but that was because those of us that are subscribed to the email notification service were getting emails almost every hour or even less!
Once the conditions start to change significantly, either for the worse or improving, most users are aware that things are changing and can easily check the website for specifics. I have the conditions page stored on my iPhone as a desktop icon.

When we update , we can choose to send the info to all subscibers via email.

Personally , i don't do this unless there has been a substantial board change , as Tony says otherwise you get a hundred emails a day.

We are in the process of transferring the duty desk to Tedders at the moment , so the locks will report a board change direct to us , rather than via a team leader as it is at present , so in theory once we get the system up and running we should be able to update the conditions more or less in real time ( Hopefully )
