EA River Thames Newsletter

did you notice their speed limits
they say 8 kph is 4.8 mph (I think its 4.97 ie 5 )
and 4.2 knots
I think its more like 4.3

Interesting that comment has focussed on the speeding item. Take a good look at the Customer Charter item and particularly the associated lock manning targets graphic - thats where the main difficulties arise.

Unfortunately given that they cant get some simple maths right the whole document has as much credibility as the News of the World.

I thought the so called reduction in service was old news anyway, just a more realistic prediction than an actual change.

Isn't the News of the World now defunct ? Hmmm....... hope thats not some sort of omen!

Only old news because published here two months ago. This is the first time it has appeared in an EA customer publication - in fact this is the first river news since January.
Fact is that reduction in service is real - no cover at Chertsey (for instance) on both Saturday and Sunday one weekend in May and others have been reported. Does it matter? I think so.
