The Environment Agency website is inviting particpation in an Online Survey and Online discussion regarding funding of navigations starting on 30th July.

I just got a survey form in the post this morning. Only glanced at it as was heading out the door, so don't really know what it covers...

I haven't seen the survey as it's being done nationally - well picked up! Please do try to participate as we want as many comments as possible - of whatever nature.
The declining boat numbers bit refers to the longer term decline since the 1980s rather than the recent slight increase. We'll be doing a report at the end of the year on the final number of licences sold. I do regular updates for the customer reps that come to our 'Waterway Working Group' meeting - thhe people that attend do share that info with others as far as I know.

Just heard that it's delayed until 1 august because people working on it have had to spend some time on flood related stuff.
