More junk mail from the EA arrived today . It's my own fault as i bought a rod licence last year so no doubt they have sold my details to other people that want to send me crap /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Anyway an EA mag called Go Fish is here with pictures of lots of people holding fish /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif The bird on page 9 is a bit of alright ...... if she wasnt holding a fish /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Is this a give up boating and take up fishing hint ?

P.S Last year it was £24.50 to use a fishing rod , i wonder if that has gone up ?

My Dad showed me this yesterday prices are on the back license went up £0.50 but OAP went up £4.50..........he was not happy. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This year it's £25.
I will lay odds I could have had all their licences printed at ½ the price they have paid. That's a few million licences and wallets I'll be bound.

Thats out of order. If river licenses go up by 10% a year then so should fishing licenses - same river, same percentage surely?

Guess they really don't like us boaters...

You've answered you own question...it creates jobs for people to check the licenses, good for the unemployment figures you see.

Did you know that fishing is the biggest paticipation sport in the country!

The crazy thing is, that days like yesterday and today are classed as "fishing weather" and they can't fish at the moment because of the closed season. (Apparently fisherman really enjoy being out when it is persistantly raining)

I was out in it on both days, but at least I was getting paid (albeit poorly) for getting wet
