Hi there
I hope I have posted in the right section....
I have a Raymarine E90W that will be installed down below at the chart table and I was wondering if anyone knows how I can ad a secondary chart plotter or display that will read the E90w info at the helm.
I would like to be able to control everything above deck as I would be able to down below with the unit that I install at the helm and vice versa.

Is this possible, as I would like the ability of seeing the exact info that I would have from the chart table at the helm, I do know some of the info such as AIS etc can be seem on the i70's I'm putting in but it would be nice to see some maps etc.

The items I am going to install are X2 Raymarine i70's, Standard Horizon DSC AIS VHF Radio, Furuno NX300 Navtext, Raymarine E90W Touch screen down below.

I hope I'm making sense here, if someone could shed some light onto this for me I would be very grateful!

You will find it all here http://www.raymarine.eu/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=9424

You will need to use SeatalkHS to connect the two Raymarine E90W.
SeatalkNG to connect i70 to one of the MFD's
I don't have the specs for Standard Horizon DSC AIS VHF Radio and Furuno NX300 Navtext at hand, but if they support NMEA 2000 you plug them into the SeatalkNG network.
If they only have NMEA 0183 you can connect to one of the MFD's

To "clone" your E90W you can utilize an E140W, a E120W and a E90W, as well as the newer e-series. The latter will limit the functionality of the newer e-series a bit as you have to put it in compatibility mode.
What then happens is that you share the radar signal, the cartography (when using an CF-card) and waypoint data, as well as the navigational data (speed, etc.). Your instruments will go into the Seatalk2 bus. The VHF will use one of the NMEA connections that needs to be set to high-speed. It makes no sense to connect the Furuno Navtex to the network as it will not play nicely with the Raymarine MFD. The only function you can utilize is the automatic message selection based on your GPS position, but I did not find that very helpful. Also it can act as a repeater for the GPS coordinates if you fancy that. I personally don't think it's worth the effort.
You did not tell were your GPS-data is coming from. If you are using the Raystar GPS then you may need to feed that into the VHF. That is possible via a separate NMEA line using low speed. You need to configure the plotter to forward that information to the NMEA port of your choiche.
If the VHF has it's own GPS receiver, you can also use it to feed the E90W with the position via NMEA. You can use the NMEA port that also feeds the AIS data to the plotter if the VHF supports that.
So in short the only connection required to the second (slave) plotter would be the SeatalkHS (basically a network cable) and power supply.

Hope this helps a bit

To add to my remarks about connecting and E-series to an e-series (notice the capital usage) I have just noticed this announcement for Raymarine regarding the software on the e-series:

"Please note, in this release the ability to connect to legacy MFDs (E Series Wide and G Series) has been removed. It is recommended if this is your current configuration that you do not update to version 7.35 and remain at version 6.27. If you have updated to version 7.35 you can download version 6.27 below"

Just so you are aware...
