We decided on E pontoon (Burton Waters E Pontoon that is) that it was high time we had another party but this time we would take it on tour. We didnt need to go far the village of Saxilby a 40 minute cruise away was the ideal setting. So despite the best efforts of the narrowboating community to take up the majority of the moorings we managed to squeeze 11 boats into the remaining space.

Someone along the line decided we should have a posh BBQ with homemade cupcakes

and we even had a visit from a rare steam waggon which fittingly enough started out life as a brewery dray

Needless to say the night was long and we were all a little worse for wear yesterday so Liam and I decided a few hours in the sunshine at anchor in Brayford Pool was as good a way as any to get rid of a hangover.

Hair of the dog I think........judging by the opened Bud;)

Looks like a great time was had by all:cool:

A great time had by all and no complaints from any of the other boaters who were moored with us. Everyone was warned when we turned up on Friday evening that there was to be a party on Saturday evening and of course they were all invited.

The one complaint we had on Sunday morning was from an old dear living opposite who didnt like that we had rafted the boats up!!

Just goes to show that you can organise and hold a party for a largish group without causing problems for everyone else on the moorings.
