DZR Hose Tails with 90° bend?

Bulky, plus an additional point of failure.

Earlier this year I was trying to find 90 degree hosetail fittings for a Racor fuel filter. 3/4BSP if I remember correctly. I wanted as few separate fittings as possible for the reasons given by Nigel. I could find a single fitting but that was expensive and only available in the USA for some reason. I could have imported the fitting but the costs were prohibitive.

I tried several UK suppliers and Hyphose were able to come up with a 2 part fitting whereas the others, although very helpful, proposed a 3 part.

Is a 90 degree bend in a toilet outlet a good idea? It seems a better idea to keep the flow as smooth as possible. Although my Blakes 1.5 inch seacock (on which the flow inside the valve is not perfectly smooth) has never blocked I have noticed that carbonate accumulations seem to grow at the sharpest point of the bend, a good deal less than 90 degrees.

The straighter the better, probably, but I have several sharp 90 degree bends in my outlet (from toilet and tank) and there has not been any problem from this in 30+ years.

I'm looking for some DZR Hose Tails with a 90° bend, 1½" BSP and ¾" BSP.

Any suggestions?

I put a 1.5" one on ebay about a year ago - no takers. It is still sitting in the shed but I am sitting on the boat in Sicily and won't be back in the UK for some time. So, if you aren't in a hurry . . . . . . . . .

When I changed all my skin fittings, ball valves, 90 bends and hose tails, I found Force 4 the cheaper option. I used as much bronze as I could as I don't want ever to do this again! - some were is B****dy awkward places.
