I have an old wooden sailing boat. All the sheets, halyards etc are either plain white or sort of oatmeal coloured. Very tasteful....We are changing to a loose footed main sail and I am assembling an outhaul, ideally using 4mm and 6mm low stretch line such as Dyneema, but I don’t want purple/green/orange lines. I want neutral, muted and ‘classic’. Any ideas on where I can find this? There is a silver coloured LIROS D12 Pro, but any other suggestions would be welcome.

Thank you

There's a lot of dyneema string about with a white dyneema core and a cover of whatever you choose. You can strip off the cover.
Silver-grey spectra turns up on ebay and other places.
There's also vectran, which is sort of pale brown.
I have some 4mm line with a 'technora' (sp?) core, this is a black fibre with similar properties to Kevlar.
Classic galvanised wire is still available :_)
