They used to last all night (well 8 hours or so) but now only last as long as a cup of tea, so what with Trades Descriptions and all ....

Are you really saying you don't make any money from your youtube channel? I never thought I'd hear myself say this but maybe you should talk to one of those seemingly pointless individuals who call themselves "digital marketing consultants". You must have have bumped into a few thousand of them in your line of work.

I get emails every month asking me to join this that or the other digital agency - attracted by the youtube hits - and the six virals made so far (counting a viral as anything with more than one million hits )

however, they are all google approved suppliers/puppets who promote digital creatives both inside and outside google

but as soon as they realise that you have been banned by the google/adsense algorithm then they move on

interestingly

10,000 hits on vimeo in Jan - equivalent to around 5,000 hours of viewing

nets me around 22 pence per hour watched via paypal donations from MOBs - or an average income of around 40 pence per DVD

70,000 views on one of the youtube sites in jan (keepturningleft) - zip all

I am not the first person to have been around the google/youtube/adsense loop and have tried all sorts of ways around the problem

better people than I have wasted a lot of time and money in winning against the big G

but you cannot win

basically google rules the digital universe

Google writes the rules of the digital universe

Google polices the digital universe
