It has been suggested: G.00£Gle have an ip tracking algorithm that means they know
If one computer is bashing out spammy content. Just like the forum webmaster knows if you have more than one account on YBW.com.

So if you have fans who just click your adverts all the time they might get up tight. With $60billion cash in the bank a full 80billion less than Apple your right they do need the money.

The ways I know of to get around this are hassle and really not worth it unless you want to remain and international man of mystery.

I agree

- not worth the candle to chase a company as big as Google

they can play any game they wish until you run out of cash

it was an interesting ride

I started out as a hack being paid by farmers weekly to go to places and report back on what I saw in words and stills

then I got paid by the BBC to go to places and come back to report in words and sounds

then google paid me to make videos for a while

now a few hundred MOBs with MOBs keep this latest project going

an astoinishing turn of events

ive wonderd about this adscence...is it worth doing ?
looks like a load of hassle and they don't pay you?
keep it simple eh...how much does one get for 1000 hits on a vid on Youtube?

It depends where the hits are coming from

it used to be $1 per thousand

now it is closer to around $2.50 for North American and European hits

I have had around 30 million youtube hits

so only google know how much they have made from me

mind you - they distribute my digits for freemans

this adsense story is also a dracula style narrative that refuses to die

all this happened a few years ago now but there is no redemption in the world of google

for me this was a real glimpse into the future

employed by algorithm, sacked by the same

As for KTL right now it is old sailors paying for another old sailor to make films

Dylan, what did you think of the lady's reporting (as you used to be a hack?) and as she was writing for a better paper.

I am thinking of the words she used such as:

"Innovative" edit, sorry Imis-quoted her. "unique invention" she said.

and

"furnace".

Apart from that, hope you get something good from the publicity. And perhaps Google will give you something back.

not a penny

I don't think the world works that way anymore

click on a google film about sailing and when it finishes it will offer you a choice of other films - one of which will be a lady in a bikini on the bow of a boat

and you click on that

watch a film about candle heaters and it will have you off to films about rocket stoves before you can say knife

as for furnce - well it does get too hot to touch

innovative - well at best it is a small tweak on an existing idea

which has now been taken up by these people

Well, I hope you get something for the publicity.

I enjoyed the PBO video (I think) using your boat for outboard engine tests.

You have done many significant things and I didn't even know about the horse skills and the books until the other day.

Why is it that the most hard grafting people sometimes have to keep on doing it and doing it and others twiddle their thumbs and money rolls in somehow? Funny old world.
 
these tea lights look the same as things I have called "night lights",

Are they the same, just a posh new name, or are they something different?
 
Tea lights/night lights are the same thing. Don't know why the name change. We had them as children at my grannies house - it was darker in them days! On cold nights, we also had an open fire in the bedroom - very comforting.
