Dylan Centaur Boat Porn

spoken to the bloke

nice man

medical student

leaky windows, weepy keels, bent pushpit, osmosis, no roller reefing, old engine

none of them deal breakers - Dutch person going to see it on Saturday week.

He said myself or one of my Dutch KTLers could go and look on Saturday week as well

no viewing before then as it is his first day off and he lives three hours away from the boat.

logistics might get a bit hairy....

I think there is a huge translation hiccup (well several but this one in particular).
It's translating Huizen as homes or houses.
In this case Huizen is the name of the place where it is located, just outside Amsterdam, bottom of the IJsselmeer.
I don't think they are living on it.

I think it's ashore at Huizen till April.

so its got an engine that works, you could hand another on the transom for luck

its just across the north sea from where you want to be

the price is right

best one you've seen yet by a long way

you have a list of buyers for after your done with it

Are you really serious about doing this or not?

I think its "put up or shut up" time Dylan!

Not much, a bilge pump will deal with that.

the main problem with it is that it is in Holland

the first time I can see it is saturday week when the current owner will be able to drive the three hours to the boat

a local Dutch couple are going to see it on the same day

it is a long way to go to compete with a local for a dutch boat when there are 2,000 Centaurs in the UK

There will be more along soon

It looks far to nice for what you have in mind. but don't let that stop you.

If it floats, which may be questionable something about a leak. Getting it from Holland to England should be quite easy probably fun and might make a good film. probably fixable especially if you intend to have a go with a chain saw

Time to fish or cut bait.

the price is about right, its not a complete wreck, its been loved by someone so probably not to bad. inside looks nice and comfortable.
lock the deal with an offer subject to your inspection and test sail.

Or wait for a dog with loads more work need than just a well.

What 2500 euros in real money?

I always thought you must be rich to keep a boat on the south coast. Just look at the size of the car park spaces, made to fit a Range Rover!
You had a lovely day for it Dylan. I wouldn't touch the first one with the rusty keel joints but the one with an outboard bracket would suit you fine, no need to mess about building a well!

bracket handy to move it to Thornham and suggests dodgy engine

but some-one loved it wnough to cover it

but still gonna cut a hole

the first one.... as long as it was not wet inside I would go for it

the chances of the keels falling off while I was sailing it would be small

been there for five years apparently

I will try to contact the berthing master at Langstone
