Dylan Centaur Boat Porn

It's very encouraging that an eminently suitable boat has been discovered at the right price. Time for some renewed optimism I think! :)

there are only two times when my optimisim has flagged during this little sailing around britain project

that was right at the beginning - week three when I was in Rye - when I ltook a phone call cancelling my £20,000 a year freelance contract

and the other was when the beast was giving me megagyp when I was in Wisbech and the local engineer wanted £1000 to pull the engine and look at it

D

even chance....

would you still buy it with a well in it rather than the old volvo

D
Honestly, probably not, but I wouldnt rule it out altogether. I could always patch it up again! lol
I like the ease of use of an outboard, and the ability to take it home to work on it, but.....I would prefer a bigger boat with an inboard engine.

Aye, and Im used to an E-Boat, which would run rings round a Centaur!

That said, speed is irrelevant when your ploughing through the huge seas of "da Roost" on your way to Shetland. Something tough is the order of the day.

I once sailed a mates Leisure 23 bilge keel. It was unbelievably bad. Couldnt be made to point to save its life. Wouldnt even consider one of those!

This , due to the bilge keels very stable boat is perfect for the flats and the seaports on the channel of France and England ( drying out ) . The pleasant headroom in the cabin , he is also suitable . For longer trips He has until April to display in houses . On dry We have a low asking price ( we charge half the purchase price , and nothing for our renovation + additions because we have canceled out against any rent) so that the future owner (s ) in place of rent for a longer time , it can also be a boating season and optionally resell .

Can you repeat that in english. Are they saying there is a years berthing to pay?

I read it as they are charging half what they paid for it as they have lived aboard & so consider that as a reasonable cost of rent they would have paid. Dilly dally on this one & you will lose it.

I read it another way... that in order to get the boat you would have to pay the rent they owe for the pontoon space

I have a KTLer who has offered to go and have a look

it is an 160 mile round trip for him though so it would be as well to iron out a few wrinkles first

I enjoyed playing with the translation things, great.

I got a slightly more hopeful one:

This, because of the bilge keels very stable boat, is the perfect hotel for the wad and the sea ports on the Canal of France and England (dry). By the pleasant headroom in the cabin, he is also suitable for longer trips. He is until april on dry land on display in Homes. We have a low asking price (we count half of the purchase price, and nothing for our renovation + additions because we have that against any rent ticked off) so that also the future owner (s) there in the place of hire for a longer time, if desired, a season can also sail and resell.

that makes no more sense to me than the google one

still do not really get it

clarity will eventually emerge

I think there is a huge translation hiccup (well several but this one in particular).
It's translating Huizen as homes or houses.
In this case Huizen is the name of the place where it is located, just outside Amsterdam, bottom of the IJsselmeer.
I don't think they are living on it.
