They race over as part of the Scheveningen North Sea Regatta, finish at Harwich and congregate at Woolverstone, RHYC or MDL, have a rest day - mostly drinking 
- tomorrow, with a big party in the evening at RHYC, and then race back in the RORC North Sea Race on Friday.
As this is a Fastnet year there will be a large entry as they need to qualify for the Fastnet. During Wednesday evening and Thursday they usually manage to drink a fair proportion of the beer stocks at RHYC and Butt & Oyster.

A couple of customs officers were wandering around the pontoons today checking the Dutch in. Nice day out for them really. Won't find any beer on the boats that arrives in a transit van. Cannot afford the weight in the race even if it is their beer.

I'm a non EU passport holder and have often arrived in Falmouth or Plymouth from a non EU port and couldn't find a Customs or Border Protection person remotely interested in checking me in or giving me clearance. I think in future I will just continue to the East Coast flying my Q flag and try at maybe Harwich.

When Wunja wanted to sail here from Holland with an Ozzie friend he rang Customs and they told him to go to Harwich, catch a train to Harwich International and report to Customs there. So know you know how to be legal
