I went to this show some years back and was blown away by just how big it was.

Now i’m a boat owner once again I’m thinking of going just for a nosey and of course, it’s any excuse for a jolly to do with boats.
plus I really want to see the new Sunseeker Superhawk 55 which i think makes its debut at the show too.

Anyone else planning on going, have any opinions on what to expect in Jan and have any recommendations of what to do and what not to do etc ?

I’m bringing my Dad again this year. We went three years ago and it was really good.
Going the first weekend and plan to be there Saturday and Sunday.
Be sure to get a map. There are 17 halls. The super yacht hall is well worth a visit but definitely walk around the balcony. You’ll see nothing from the ground just huge hulls.
We cover a lot last time but I think we’ll concentrate on the motorboat and chandlery area for one of the days this time.
The exhibitors are good and fairly accommodating. We got onto lots of big boat, mainly sailing yachts because my brother was with us, but only a few wanted us to book a viewing.

Think the Superhawk 55 does indeed make its debut. That boat was on my list, but in the end decided it wasnt for me. Believe around £1.1m but comes with most extras on it (whatever the are). Still love to see the boat in the flesh. Will be a great seller for sunseeker am sure. Dusseldorf is a great show!

That boat is a big draw for me too (it looks stunning), although I'm surprised that it's only £1.1m and if indeed it is, and with most extra's included at that price as you comment then they will I'm sure, have a run-away success on their hands.

My only concern is whether naming it a 55' is a tad optomistic and it actually becomes a very expensive 46' with a huge bathing platform. Hopefully not though as Sunseeker have form for going the other way and naming to suggest smaller than the other way round (2019 Pred 60' is a good example).

I was quoted that price very early this year. probably gone up. They did say it will "come with a very high base spec". I think for a day boat with cabins it could be very good. I do like some of the design touches. The pardo and fjord of similar size are a similar price (from memory). However for the med it is very wide for a 55ft boat (4.95m), making mooring a little more difficult (ie expensive). I dont think it will feel like a 46' boat.

Agreed, it does looks as though it should feel plenty big enough (the promotional CGI vid was very good), and as you say, for a Med based Day boat it is likely the perfect choice, especially if Sunseeker is your brand of choice.

Bump.

Booked to go to Boot 23 over two days. Tues & Weds. cannot wait to see some of the new products being launched and generally just lap up the boating vibe to take away the winter blues

Great.
Make sure you have your trainers and running kit on. Huge show for just a day :) Huge even for two days for that matter and plenty warm enough in there too.

Just finished two days at Boot. Great show with lots to see. We spent most of yesterday in the Chandlery area Hall 10 & 11. It’s great to get to talk to the engineers from companies like Victron, etc.
Definitely do the balcony around the Superyacht Hall, great view into lots of boats

Surely it’s against forum rules to put a post up like this without adding pictures !

We went in 2020 and had an amazing time. As others have said it is huge and 2 days won’t do it justice. The small boats and water sports area are very good,

Sadly her indoors put on a face when I wanted to go this year so going to boat life live instead !!!!! Lol

Here is a very short video of the big hall in 2020

And another area at the show we liked. The big boat area is good but there are so many other areas that have stuff available to those of modest wealth lol
