Duseldorf 2018

temping, very tempting!
Got to be in Copenhagen on the 27ish, wife will be in Malmo from the 22nd waiting for me there.
So could possibly pick the only direct flight from Athens on the 25th, have a peak preview in the afternoon alone (flight arrives 3pm) and then join you on the 26th and get a train or something to Copenhagen late in the evening...

cheers

V.

Work. Mike this is a public boating forum, populated by slim, young, non working people who have boats in the med, 2 children, a beautiful wife, with whom the never argue, whose boat never breaks down, where the sea is always flat and every bed has a designer handbag and hat on it. Work ..... good lord man you can't dispel the myth created by boat marketing executives the world over!

You forgot to mention the young gorgeous Mistress that the wife is ok with

Excellent!

See you all at the bacon sarnie counter in BA lounge.

(As an aside, JtB, hope shorepower is ok. Winds have been v strong but Vega is fine as are all other forum PV fleet boats - PV can be amazingly sheltered when things are being strewn around by strong winds close by)

Sadly not. Interruptions to supply meant that the internal breaker on the panel in the saloon also popped, and although your help the other day (thanks again) restored the power from the turret to the boat, the charger is downstream from the internal breaker so batteries have been comprehensively killed. I came down on Tuesday (for my shortest ever visit to the boat - 2 hours) to reset the breaker and see if there was some underlying fault, which I don't think there is. Batteries were showing a dismal 9v so I'll be fitting new ones in the maintenance week in March. Disappointingly it looks like Battery Megastore have heavily reduced their range of leisure batteries, so I need to find another supplier.

Jimmy - this link might help. https://www.batteriemegastore.fr/produits-par-application/leisure-batteries/bateau-batteries.html

I used them in 2017 and they were very good and understand Franglais!

Thanks for this, this is the same firm as Battery Megastore, and in fact the French operation is run out of the same UK call centre as the UK business - so is easy to call them up and transact in English for French delivery, I've used them for the boat in France, and the trucks here in the UK, great service. But unfortunately my comment about the reduction in their range remains correct - they don't do 190Ah dual-purpose batteries at all any more, for example (which is what I currently have installed). I accept that there is an argument about just fitting cheapo starter batteries in the knowledge that no matter what you do, batteries that live 99.99% of their life connected to a charger are never going to last for long, no matter how good they are.

Whoop. Club is going to be busy that day. No doubt BA will be scratching their heads a bit ;)

Still plenty of space at the moment:

Yep do 1f. Much nattering to do! (Or I will do 1c if 1a is your lucky chair :D)
It's a transit towing a big box trailer. It's pretty full with "aquastar 74 refit round 2" clobber and some stuff for me, but a couple of batteries will fit. Let me check date and confirm. Alas there is def no room for motorbike on southbound trip at least.

Edit- I mean an open trailer, like a big tea tray. But I don't think that affects your load.
