hi all, probably need to replace both my sets @ the end of season so just wondering if any one has any experiance of the differing brands out there @ the moment(ie magic marine/powerteck)as opposed to the volvo ones, also if any one knows Greg copp @ MBY i am waiting for him to report on some that he brought for his boat, regads mm1.

Why not just get them refurbed, £90 per set last time I had mine done, you will be amazed at how big a chunks of blade can be missing and rebuilt up with weld.

I use www.streamlinedpropellers.co.uk to refurbish mine (B5s). Two seasons ago he could only save two out of the four so I bought a pair of PowerTech from him. These have held up really well and are now on their third season, with most of the original paint intact. That's with the boat in the water all year round with only a week out in the summer. I had to replace the other refurbished set this season and couldn't get Powertech so got Michegans instead. These too seem fine but only have 15 hours on them so early days.

Worth checking if they could be refurbished though.

thanks for replies, will have a look when she comes out &see if they can be refurbed, still waiting to hear from the MBY CHAPPIE,come on Greg were they any good &was there any increase in top speed! regards mm1.

Hi

I have been trying out a set of Michigans A6 props for Keyparts. When they arrived I did some checking measurement wise and in a nutshell they are thicker on the blades. I did some test runs on my clean props recording speeds etc. Then changed the props over (only 1 set by the way) and did the same runs - no difference. That was just about a year ago now, how are the props, well I am based in Poole, not known as the best place for props to last, however the props still have their original paint on them for starters and are still looking good. Would I buy a set for myself, going on the evidence I have so far the answer would be yes.

By the way I do not work for Keyparts, just a good customer!

I hope this is of some help.
