Does anyone out there have a direct helpful contact at Dufour in La Rochelle. I have tried emailing the UK agent (Universal) and Dufour directly several times but they both totally blank me. I expect they would be more responsive if I was wanting to buy a new boat! Next time I think I will buy an X Yacht or J boat.

I am looking to buy an inner forestay deck strongpoint kit that is clearly shown on the manual and some sisterships have factory fitted.

Any help greatly appreciate .

I think there have been some changes to spam filters - quite a few emails of mine (in and out) are ending up in spam at the moment. Have you tried calling them?

Not withstanding the added confidence of buying the OEM kit, aren’t all the parts available separately and perhaps more cheaply elsewhere?

Thanks guys. I have now established contact with the UK Dufour agent who has promised to try to get a response from Dufour.

I appreciate that it may be better to get the parts from Wichard and to fabricate a backing plate. However, I need to understand how best to key in to the existing strongpoint (assuming some structural enhancement of the bulkhead) and to check that it is safe for big loads.

Is that point on the deck actually intended for an inner forestay: might it be intended for spinnaker guys instead - probably lower loading?

Yes I want to check that. In the manual it is described as as “running forestay chainplate” which suggests it is appropriate.
