Just brought my first boat. Winter jobs list getting bigger by the day, Brought myself a domestic GC 100 gas checker level indicator £30 on e bay.
It works using ultrasonic technology and I am very pleased with it, especially when I tried it on my stainless steel fuel tank. seems to work a treat. no more guessing what the level is or waiting for a over spill on the over flow pipe when topping up. Saved buying myself a fuel gauge.Do not own shares in company buy the way.IT designed as a gas indicator pen, as far as I can see works great on my fuel tank. Making it a even better gadget.

I'm very interested in the GC100 that you have found because I have no fuel gauge in the boat and I am loathe to drill holes to fit a sender.
Can you tell me the approximate dimensions of your fuel tank so I can have a better idea if this might work for me.
Owing to the awkward nature of my fuel tank, I would have to use the probe from the side and the width of my tank is 60 cm.
My 80 cm long, steel tank is wedge shaped to fit the hull under the aft berth, so there is no room above or below. It is just 18cm high at the widest, tapering to 0 cm at the outboard end. Monitoring my fuel levels is a dark art.)
If this GC100 device solves my problem, I will be a happy man!

Fantastic, this is going in the Christmas list, I have a sight tube but it's a right sod to use, especially now that I mostly use white diesel.
