Does anyone know the owner of this boat (Contest 31) around the Poole area. Nothing bad, I just want to ask them about their engine installation and if they're happy with 20HP. I have the same type of boat and am looking at the same engine.

Used to belong to my brother. He put a Beta engine in it when he first bought it. Not sure what it replaced - it may have been an elderly Volvo. He's an aircraft engineer, so it would have been done properly, no bodges. If you want to pm me some contact details I'll see about putting you in touch. I remember motoring up the Hamble and back one day, thinking how it ran like a sewing machine - I've always thought of Betas as being very smooth fuss-free engines.
