Just a quick update to finish off this thread... it might be useful for others!
The duel filter installation went perfect, no issues. I installed a Draper inline bulb pump between the tank and filter/s. I also made the fuel pipes a little longer so that the duel filters can be lifted out a little to help with changing them (A bit cramped with my 30ft boat). Although the idea behind this system is if a filter blocks when in transit, I can simply turn the two valves and run on the other clean filter.
The bleeding of the system was so easy... even with starting off with no fuel in the filter. I just opened up the bleed screw and pump the in line bulb around 4 times until fuel came out on the bleed screw! My engine is a volvo penta D1-20.
