Dueal 12V battery setup for 24V trolling motor

Hi all,

I've bought a 24V 160lb Haswing Protruar 5.0. This motor draws 100A max. The motor is powered by 2x 12V 180AH AGM batteries.

I want to be able to do the following:

Measure the voltage per battery to see the state of charge
Measue current draw of the system (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/DZ5Hp98k)
Disconnect the batteries without unplugging. For safety and convenience
Install one fuse per battery
Install a battery balancer/equalizer: 12V Lights and accesoiries will be installed later (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/sDveKfs4)
Convenient unplugging of the batteries, for charging and easily being able to take the batties out of the boat when necessary.

So...

I've made a scheme of all of the things above.. I'm not a trained electrician, so to make sure I'm not making a mistake somewhere and see the boat sink to the bottom in a flaming short circuited mess.. The grey rectangles are Anderson connectors. The charging connectors are not drawn in this picture.

Why do you want to do this all separate for the two batt's ?

why not combine the battery's in one setup,
with one "Battery monitor" fe Victron BMV700
and one battery balancer fe Victron ..

in a well ballanced setup, all components / leads shound be perfectly the same

measuring voltage is not a good indication of the charge status of a batt.
you need a battery monitor that calculates all current that goes in or out...

as soon as the battery balancer gives a error, and can't balance anymore, one battery is bad

no experience with these Anderson connectors, but I would reduce the number of connection,
any contact resistance in such a setup is a source for trouble ...

Because that's very expensive? :-)

And I want to be able to cut off the power per battery and be able to take them out of the boat when winter comes. Or when it's blistering hot out.

It will be a mirror image, connector and length wise

I know that voltage should be measured at least in an open circuit. There are some approximations you can work with, with an AGM battery. I don't want to make it overly complicated.

Is bad, or will go bad? I don't think I understand you.

Sure, you're absolutely right. Perhaps I will make it a fixed connection, that I have to uncouple with a wrench/bolts. I'm not sure about that yet.

Sure, if you want to. I'm always curious to others' people's opinions, but don't want to trouble you too much. The thing is, I already have the charger (Victron IP22 13/30 (3) and this setup works fine for now. It's a hobby boat, for an occasional saturday afternoon run on the local pond behind our house.. nothing professional.
