Has anyone sent back boots to be re-sealed?

My boots have good tread depth left but are letting in water quicker than I can bail out. Is it worthwhile sending boots back to get the Dubarry treatment or just splash out on a pair of Quaysiders or equivalent?
How much is involved...

Agree with money well spent.

Can you reproof them? Thought it was a membrane between the lining and the outer that made them waterproof

returned mine to Dubarry with a similar problem, the repaired and returned them very quickly asking only for a contribution towards the express mail service - approx £20 Excellant service

Aimera

Sounds excellent. Can you confirm that the boots you sent back were used and not new?

they were about 18 months old when I sent them back- came back religned and like new - still have them now three years later !!

Great Stuff. Will get onto their website and see what the situation is.

I dont mind paying to get them reproofed. I like my feet warm and dry.

Cant say I've had the same service from Quayside with the £70, boots I bought from them.

After only 4 very comfy years they STILL dont leak! Still no reason to send hem back. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
