Being a motor sailor, we have dual throttle stations. For several years, the outside throttle has wanted to return to its default (tick over) position, unless pushed (or pulled) well beyond about half throttle. Can sometimes be most embarrassing;). I was sure the problem be with the Ultraflex throttle control, so replaced it. Ha! So much for my expertise lol. This has not solved the issue, so have now removed all throttle and gearbox control cables (hell of a job due to access), to be replaced when we return in the spring.
Will attempt to upload a couple of pics. Does the Ultraflex cable look like standard 33C type, but then just screwed INTO the strange cable splitter center bar? If thats the case, i cant get it out:(* Really dont want to damage the control splitter, as manufacturer (Brevettato) appears to have long gone. Or, is that center bar actually part of the cable?
Anyone hear recognise the equipment? I can't have a thorough internet search until returning to UK in about 10 days.
As always chaps (and chapesses of course), all input most welcome.
