More advice please.

I have a dual station VHF fitted and all works fine both on the main set and at the flybridge. I am looking to buy a dual station DSC VHF with GPS but not so worried about AIS unless it's only a small amount more.

Recommendations based on price please. As long as they work and are reputable I'm not too worried about aesthetics but again if I can get a pretty one great :)

Cheers.

I recently installed an Icom M423G along with the remote command mic to replace my Raymarine 240 dual station. I’m very impressed, very easily installed as it has in built GPS. The command mic has all the functions of the base radio as far as I can tell. Circa £400.

Thanks Gents. Seems to be the top runner alongside the Standard HorizonX 1700E RAM3 + remote mike. which has also been recommended.

I have this set up and it works well...... Standard Horizon (Via force 4) repaired the LCD screen which had faded so quite happy with service and performance
- especially if you attach it to a Metz aerial that is VERTICAL rather than the jaunty angle I see most VHF setups with.

The radiation from the aerial is like a doughnut so if you tip from the vertical you are transmitting into the sky and sea not towards other receiving stations....
