Hi,

I am booked on a DSC radio course this coming Sunday.

I have read thru the little RYA book which all seems quiet straight forward.

I just wondered what to expect on the day.

Still a piece of cake!

Do not be concerned. The content is easy and logical. The use of DSC is simple, so as long as you competent in voice procedure and you understand the may day and pan pan rules you will be fine.

Enjoy the course.

Regards.

Peter.

Worth learning your phonic alphabet, numbers not too important, never used.

Remember to speak slowly and clearly when you do you test calls, even though I went into mine very happy with my theory I was shocked how many said they struggled to make adequate notes during my maday call.

So, I learnt something as well as becoming legal.

Enjoy it, it is a nice place to meet all kinds of boaters, there are not many courses with such a broad audience.
