Hi all

Does anyone know if any place to dry out in Poole harbour. I have a trapper 300 which draws 1.6m and wanted to carry out some checks on her hull without incurring the cost of lifting her out.

I recently read a thread where Tranona made reference to one of two places so hoping for particulars
.

Many thanks

Fin keel, no if you want public slips. Not sure any of the boatyard slips allow drying out against their walls, but even if they do 1.6 will mean early morning or evening spring tides (and a long wait to float) to get that range. It can be done on the wall in Poole Yacht club, but that is strictly members only and then only early morning as it interferes with evening dinghy racing.

Are you comfortable finding a sandbank and drying out on that? Do fill a flask as boiling a kettle will be challenging.
