What surprised me the most was the amount of growth that WASN'T on the hull. She was last lifted out prior to my ownership in Jan 2020 for a clean and anti foul. She's been afloat in Cardiff bay since then with an average of 1-2 trips out the locks for a sail/fish in the salt water, so maybe that's What's keeping her clean? A quick scrub off was all she needed, a clean off with fresh water via a hand sprayer and a coat of anti foul, mainly for cosmetic purposes. They sat with a beer before going gently astern assisted by my kedge anchor

I'm not familiar with Cardiff, but if the water inside the locks is fresh that would explain it. As far as I can make out, most fresh water fouling can't survive in seawater, and vice versa. So going out once or twice a week is seemingly a winning strategy!
