Does anyone know who owns and runs the dry dock in Walton? Going down river it's on the left before Sunbury lock.

Alternatively does anyone know where I can get a 70ft 48 tonne boat out of the water!!!

Thanks

The EA I believe - at least it was last time I asked !

It certainly used to be the EA and it is still regularly used so they may still manage it. I know the land has been sold to a development company but there are still EA staff and equipment on site as it winds down.
Better get in quick before its filled in and has a buglyow built on it.

Thames Ditton Marina also have had dutch barges hauled up their slip as an alternative.

Tim Barfield has the dry dock at what used to be Hucks Boatyard. Not sure if you'll get something that big in there but maybe worth a call.

It is owned and operated by the Environment Agency and it is available for public hire - I've used it! Telephone 08708 506 506 and ask to speak to somebody at the Sunbury Depot

Interestingly on the planning permision only the land on the mainland will be developed for housing and the island looks like it will be retained and developed.

I thought that had been converted into so weird and wonderful residential floating / non floating boat park? Has the dry dock not got a house boat in? afloat?

I have to admit I haven't been down that way in a while. I used it in 2011 and I'm fairly sure a friend has had his Hatteras in there since. Still worth a call to see, if the EA one doesn't work out.
