Dry bags for transporting stuff to boat in tender ?

Years ago I made an enormous holdall from PU proofed sail bag fabric. Webbing handle and 12mm plastic sailmakers zip. I mean big. Have to slide it down the stairs. It's the size of the car boot and only just fits in a trolley. But rolls up to nothing when aboard.
Obviously it's only water resistant but by holding everything for three or four people it doesn't half speed up getting on the boat. And you don't lose anything overboard in the dinghy. Or you lose everything....

Have a couple of Aldi dry bags too. But often use them for keeping the water in with wetsuits etc.

In my head I'm imagining something like a builder's 1-tonne gravel sack but with a zip on top :). Do you have to winch it on board with a halyard?

Interesting idea though, and maybe something I'd try if I had to dinghy out to the boat. I was having similar thoughts when we had Ariam up in the yard for the first time, about minimising trips up and down the ladder. I had a full-size pallet with a lifting frame/strop and a rain cover, and a tackle from the rig which lifted it out of the yard trolley and up to sit level with the gunwale alongside the cockpit.

Many years ago when we had a long dinghy trip to our then mooring across the exposed part of Poole Harbour we had a collection of dry kit bags with the roll type top seal. We also had a large fully waterproof Plastimo PVC holdall that we still have today. One club member way back somehow had obtained a 'body bag' which he loaded with his stuff for the wet dinghy trips but unloaded the contents individually rather than hoist the whole bag on board .
