I need a couple of Imperial size drop nose pins, size 3/8" diameter with working length of 2-1/2". [or 3"].

10mm diameter won't do.

I must have them before the middle of next week, so there won't be time to import from the USA.

Anyone know where I can get some?

Have you considered buying 10mm Ø pins and getting a local engineering company to turn/grind them down to 3/8" Ø ?
OR enlarging the holes to suit 10mm Ø ?
Baseline only list metric sizes.

I ought to explain that this is to be used as a removable hinge pin for the paddle of a Monitor Windvane paddle. I want to make it quicker, and easier, to remove the paddle when in marinas so as to reduce the chance of someone crashing into it and the possibility of being charged for the extra length, by fitting a drop-nose pin. The present arrangement is a s/s pin, kept in place with a split ring at each end. Removing/fitting split rings at arms length with cold [and arthtitic!] fingers is likely to result in rings, pin and tools ending up on the sea bed!

I could, of course, enlarge the holes to take a 10mm pin but that would make the Monitor "non-standard" and I prefer to keep it standard, if possible. The other possibility is to use those spring pins shaped like a pregnant letter P, but drop-nose pins are easy to use, and there is only one piece to drop, and no tools are needed.

Apparently they are called R-pins. Pretty obvious really /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
