I looked at the web site for sailing today and they are very primitive , no previews or easy interface, just a phone number to call...Being that I am on the west coast of canada I was hoping someone could turn me on to some free plans to get some ideas from as I know that I will have to ultimitley design my own.

Some people find the C&N version, with one wide drop leaf and one narrow leaf that hinges up and folds flat on top with fiddles on the underside (so that the fiddles are on top when the leaf is folded up) is better.
A drop leaf table should have ruled joints; you need either a router or the right plane for these.
If you're interested I don't mind scanning in the Sailing Today article and emailing it to you. The writer made the table for an Griffiths design of boat, as I recall.
