Drooping vinyl headlining fix ..

The 'nice smell' was intended as humorous. We always ventilate well to the point of paranoia.....not even any food around either.
Yes I know Dave but I didn't want any potential "glue sniffers" taking you literally. Having worked in industries where TDI was an unavoidable hazard makes me a bit pedantic. Apologies!!

I don't know if the mix is still the same but when I did our Centaur around 18-19 years ago, the adhesive contained 1,1,1-Trichloroethane which left me with some very nasty side effects. Definitely not a nice trip.

My task is some quite large bits, not just making good small blisters eg under the companionway where I'd pull one end downView attachment 57143
Nick, I had the same problem in exactly the same place on my mirage. Are you sure its not foam backed? I know mine is, anyway I found that contact adhesive worked ok in the very short term but only for half a season (worked much better in the quarter berth and fore cabin), in the end I made up some battens and screwed them up for under the companionway. Isn't totally neat due to the wee lip under there but its kept it tight for the past 5 years.
