--Glare-- I Use a Hood. DJI makes one http://store.dji.com/product/inspire1-phantom-3-remote-controller-monitor-hood-tablets. Plus then if you stand in the shade it's fine.
--Googles-- I used them in the past when I was putting my drones together. They are good regarding sunlight, but that's about it. Resolution is poor and you are cut from the outside world. They also tend to fog as you sweat your flight stressing about everything that can happen!
--Alts of controlling-- It's very hard to beat the level of precision of sticks and fingers. If the drone or the camera doesn't do what you envisioned it's because what you were envisioning was probably a complex motion and nothing else at the moment will help you out until your brain is wired straight in the drone's head! Practice practice practice. Sticks plus camera tilt have to come together in some harmony and practice is the only answer. I didn't have to go thru that stage because I was flying RC helicopters, like the scary ones that will mince a bird. And it was challenging. Something you may consider is a simulator. They are not just games, they will very seriously up your skills in the comfort of a chair. The one I was using was http://www.phoenix-sim.com. It is an INVALUABLE tool if you want to progress fast.
--Other Apps-- Bit of an extension from the last subject. Software can only do so much to help you out. For example, lets say you want to take a footage underway. Well just use the follow me function mode right? Well it's only going to follow from one angle. Want to move around your target and in the mean time take some altitude tilt your camera and position yourself right on top of the moving target? Forget follow me. At least for the time being. Practice practice practice :ambivalence:
