You will be aware that there have been several accidents involving driverless cars but this is the first incidence I have heard of involving driverless boats. Investigation launched following collision near offshore wind farm

There was one quite a few years ago where an AUV ( autonomous submarine) owned by Southampton University surfaced unexpectedly and hit a pleasure boat.
