Had the boat refitted, as many of you will know, a couple of years back. New Volvo DP-E drive has a trim indicator and pretty gauge with nice lights on it /forums/images/icons/wink.gif anyway, was working last week, this week no ???
Also the trim switch on the throttle only drops the drive.

So - the drive is covered in weed and stuff and I'm assuming that the sensor has just got stuff all over it and isn't sending a message to the head unit.

Or could it be something else?

BTW, she's coming out the water in a week or so will get a right old hose down /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

On the Merc drives the 'sensors' are internal and electric. Failure (as I have on my indicator) was due to water ingress into the drive that corroded the contacts.
On this basis weed on the outside doesn't seem to be a valid cause.
I am sure a Volvo user will confirm how yours work.
It could of course be the trim but the possible inclusion of the other sensor that controls the trim limit maybe telling.....
