Drilling holes through a bulkhead very close to a deckhead?

I found this .The quality appears to be quite good and it takes up to 10mm bits.

I had a Fein but it burned out after a great deal of pro use and have now got the big Bosch one which is very good too, I use the word fein like onr moght use Hoover as the Fein was the first of this type of tool. There are a lot of jobs where it saves a huge amount of time like cutting dashes for plotters as it will get into places a jigsaw or even small plunge saw will not go near, I would not be without it. As for deck renovation, I have no idea.

Will the Fein type OMTs cut through stainless steel bolts? I have a need to crop off very neatly the ends of a few 8mm SS bolts in a tight spot. Presume the "wood and soft metal" accessory would fail, but perhaps the ceramic tile cutter could manage it?

(trying to justify the expense of one to myself :) )

I used my Fein multimaster with a metal cutting blade to cut off the exposed thread of a s/s bolt (probably about 8mm diameter, as I remember). It was a bit of a struggle because access was difficult. I didn't have my Dremel with me otherwise I would have used that with a cut-off blade (several cut-off blades, probably!). Another way to do it is to use bolt croppers. This will leave an untidy end but maybe you could fiile/grind it to look presentable, or hide it with a bit of heat-shrink sleeve

My advice is to buy a Fein and a Dremel! Both are very useful on a boat.
