After all the p**s taking, a serious question, are you importing the boat, and if so have you addressed the VAT/CE compliance/voltage issues. I ask as I am considering something similar.

Without wanting too much thread drift, generally speeking it is not viable to import a boat from the USA as you will probably find that the cost of shipping, compliance with RCD (particularly with older engines) and VAT wipes out any savings from the lower purchase price. such boats also tend to have a limited resale market in the UK

I have a problem with the socks. I've had both hips replaced since November and will be flying on the 1st day after the 3 month don't fly longhaul restriction, but to appease the doc wearing the 'orrible white anti-embolism socks for the flight. White knee length socks and fluorescent pink Crocs it is then!
